We have been asked to work on music and sound design for Unifor Partition Wall System. This signature modular walls originally designed by italian architect Renzo Piano were reimagined in 2023 by David Chipperfield, Andreè Putman, Studio Cerri e Associati, and Renzo Piano himself. Our goal was to communicate through sound both the structural solidity of the walls and the incredible elegance and lightness of their clean and minimal design. In the videos the walls are immersed in constantly moving lights. The colors dance on the metal surfaces creating soft nuances. We have worked on a sound palette of minimal and elegant tones by mixing synthesic andacoustic sounds. The composition is reduced to the essentials.Bowed notes and light metallic strokes accompany the unveiling of the forms. The same formal language was used on the various videos with attention tocunderlining the differences in the details that distinguish the various walls.

UniFor's RP wall partitions were designed by architect Renzo Piano in 2004, as a representation of the evolution of modern office spaces.  Characterized by an elegant and refined design, RP wall partitions respond in a flexible and functional way to the needs of adaptability, lightness, and permeability of the contemporary office space. Thus, RP wall partitions are ideal for workspaces that require subdivided interior spaces while maintaining a degree of interconnectedness.

Characterized by structural rigor and lightness of form, the system consists of frames in aluminum profiles and paneling in solid materials, glazing, or mixed configurations, with sliding and swing doors in safety glass or solid materials completing the line. The glazed panels consist of transparent sandwich glass with an inner layer of safety film. They are assembled by means of slender aluminum profiles, making them agile, flexible and easily adaptable to the various project conditions. The solid panels are assembled with a steel core and a sound-insulating layer and finished in a variety of materials (wood, laminate or metal). The Parete RP system is covered by international patents.
